THE MS DIET

The MS Diet that I created for my husband, and the recipes in this cookbook, are based on preparing meals with ingredients from six food groups: vegetables, fruits, fish, poultry, eggs, nuts and seeds. 

         

Although limiting a person's diet to ingredients from just six food groups may feel extreme and difficult, over time I have learned that the key to success and consistency is to prepare and eat foods and meals that are delicious, easy to prepare, affordable, and enjoyed by all. 

       

It's been more than a decade since I started experimenting with ingredients from the six food groups in the MS Diet and started collecting recipes for this cookbook. My goal has remained consistent over the years: to provide my husband, and everyone else who suffers from multiple sclerosis, with the most delicious meals we can create with the ingredients included in the MS Diet. Every month I learn more about how to prepare and serve delicious meals, desserts, and snacks on the MS Diet using new combinations of ingredients, spices, and cooking methods and I am delighted to share these recipes with you.
